A word about BARFmenu
Modern dry food and/or canned food is often the cause of many health problems in dogs and cats. This is because it contains many cheap fillers, such as rice and grains.
These are nutrients that dogs and cats do not use to build natural intestinal flora. The food digests poorly because it lacks the enzymes that help digest food. In addition, problems with the pancreas often arise.
The pancreas is not capable of producing large amounts of insulin to help process grains, which can cause diabetes. Australian veterinarian Ian Billinghurst therefore developed the BARF method.
According to this method, dogs and cats receive a menu of fresh muscle meat, raw bones and fresh organ meat, which may or may not be supplemented with fresh (mashed) vegetables. BARFmenu meets all the requirements of this BARF method.
